IEA September data update shows solar supplied a record 22.5% of OECD Europe electricity in June
The IEA’s September 16 monthly update reports 285.1 TWh of net generation in OECD Europe during June 2026. Solar produced 64.0 TWh, or a record 22.5% share, while Spain, Türkiye and France recorded the largest absolute year-on-year increases.

Hashrate Index dated its live Bitcoin Hashprice Index and forward-curve view September 26. The dashboard distinguishes spot revenue per PH/s/day from contracts trading at premiums or discounts, giving operators a way to compare today’s mining income with market expectations without treating the curve as a forecast guarantee.

Sphere 3D becomes DarkHorse Technologies and shifts Nasdaq ticker to DRK after mining asset sales
Sphere 3D completed its corporate renaming as DarkHorse Technologies and moved to the Nasdaq ticker DRK. The company says it has divested its Iowa site and legacy mining fleet and now expects 50 MW operating across four Tennessee and Kentucky data centres, with further Kentucky expansion still proposed.
Sequans sells its remaining 314 BTC and completes its Bitcoin treasury exit
Sequans Communications reported that it sold the remaining 314 Bitcoin held at June 30, completing the treasury exit that followed a May convertible-debt redemption. The chipmaker says the move strengthens its balance sheet and redirects attention to semiconductor products, licensing and next-generation radio technology.

Braiins OS 26.09.1 fixes a T5 sensor fault that paused Antminer S19 and S21 mining
Braiins released OS 26.09.1 for Antminer S19 and S21 machines after some miners upgraded to 26.09 encountered T5 temperature-sensor errors and stopped hashing for 60 seconds. The patch is narrow, but operators should still stage it, verify compatibility and compare pool-side results.
K1Pool and GMiner release SHA-256 ASIC firmware 1.30 with hot-chip frequency control
K1Pool lists GMiner firmware 1.30 as the latest release. It can automatically lower frequency on hot BM1368 chips, expands chip and hardware-error visibility, adds temperature sorting and moves less-used controls into advanced panels. Operators should test claims on their own hardware.
White House ratepayer pledge lists Bitdeer and sets five rules for data-centre power costs
