Calculator data and assumptions
Bitcoin hashprice is an expected gross USD return per PH/s per day, calculated as 10^15 × 86400 ÷ (difficulty × 2^32) × average block reward in BTC × BTC/USD. Rewards include transaction fees from the last 144 completed blocks. The source refreshes every 15 minutes; stale data is labelled. This estimate can differ from pool settlement and Hashrate Index.
Daily revenue = TH/s ÷ 1000 × hashprice × (1 − pool fee) × uptime × quantity. Daily electricity = watts ÷ 1000 × 24 × USD/kWh × uptime × quantity. Profit excludes purchase costs, cooling, idle consumption, taxes and other operating expenses. Payback uses the purchase price and positive operating profit; it is a scenario, not a return guarantee.
ASIC presets are generated directly from the catalogue, including explicitly labelled variant ranges and comparison scenarios. GPU benchmarks from WhatToMine are dated snapshots; their card power excludes the host. Applying their gross-revenue reference requires an explicit action. CPU results from XMRig are submitted system benchmarks, sometimes with multiple sockets or tuning. CPU consumption is unknown until a measured whole-system value is entered. Other algorithms never use Bitcoin hashprice; enter gross pool income before fees.
