MicroBT lists M50S+ from $623.20, with a five-unit minimum

Source checked: 2026-11-05 · Editorial analysis published: 2026-11-05

The official shop shows 152–156 TH/s configurations at $4.10 per TH/s. A low unit price still means a batch purchase, substantial power demand and a separate delivery bill.

An inexpensive unit price hides a larger starting order

MicroBT’s official shop, checked on November 5, lists a flash-sale offer for WhatsMiner M50S+ at $4.10 per TH/s. The three displayed configurations cost $623.20 for 152 TH/s, $631.40 for 154 TH/s and $639.60 for 156 TH/s. The individual price is eye-catching for an industrial Bitcoin miner, but the product pages specify a minimum order of five units.

For five identical 152 TH/s devices, the hardware subtotal is therefore $3,116 before delivery, import costs and any other applicable charges. The example does not assume that different configurations can be combined to satisfy the minimum. For a small operator, the relevant entry ticket is the whole order rather than the cheapest number shown on a product card.

This is a dated observation of an existing family’s current shop offer, not a claim that the M50S+ series launched today. The storefront changes over time, and the page does not establish when these exact bins first shipped. Its flash-sale fields should be distinguished from the standard price fields that remain elsewhere on the same page. An invoice and the selected warehouse need to confirm the actual offer before any purchasing decision.

Original calculation: five 152 TH/s devices total 760 TH/s, 16.72 kW and 401.28 kWh per uninterrupted day, before external site equipment. Hardware subtotal: $3,116.

Match the hashrate to its own power figure

The official configurations pair 152 TH/s with 3344 W, 154 TH/s with 3388 W and 156 TH/s with 3432 W. All are listed at 22 J/TH. TH/s measures computing speed, while J/TH describes energy per unit of work; a lower J/TH figure means less power for the same nominal hashrate. A higher-rate device in this set still consumes more watts because it does more work at the same stated efficiency.

These are M50S+ configurations. The shop also sells M50S++ models with different profiles, so adding or losing a plus sign changes what is being compared. An older 148 TH/s, 23 J/TH reference is another configuration, not the current 156 TH/s listing under the same family. A familiar model name alone is not enough to choose calculator inputs or compare two offers.

ASIC.tools has added the 152 and 154 TH/s configurations and updated the existing family entry to 156 TH/s across its catalogue and tools. Each uses its paired power rather than combining the fastest hashrate with the smallest consumption. The exact first-delivery date remains unspecified. The catalogue identifies the configuration; it is not a promise that a seller’s stock or promotional price will remain available.

Five devices are a power project as well as a hardware purchase

The example batch of five 152 TH/s devices totals 760 TH/s and 16.72 kW of nominal miner load. Running continuously for 24 hours would use 401.28 kWh before external cooling and other site equipment. This arithmetic assumes all five run at their stated profile for the full day. It explains why a low equipment price does not turn the order into a light household load. In the farm tool, enter 3344 W per device with quantity five. Entering the 16.72 kW batch total as if it were one device and multiplying by five again would overstate the load. Keep unit and batch figures separate when comparing the hardware subtotal and the daily electricity demand.

The product page lists a 220–240 V power-supply range, an IEC C19 cable connection rated at least 16 A, and a device weight of 13.5 kg. These details do not certify that an existing socket, extension lead or room is suitable. Capacity, protective devices, wiring and ventilation need assessment for the real installation; the total site demand also includes equipment outside the miners themselves.

A large part of the consumed electricity becomes heat that the location must remove or use appropriately. That can be useful context when comparing a dedicated mining site with a room at home, but it does not make the electricity free or the devices silent. Electricity cost should use actual runtime and measured site consumption. The purchase price alone says little about the cost of keeping this batch working through a month.

Read the delivery promise separately from the price

The detail pages say delivery after seven days following full payment and show the five-unit minimum. The current flash-sale cards link to the Hong Kong warehouse selection. This is the manufacturer shop’s stated supply condition, not independently observed shipment or a guaranteed seven-day arrival at the buyer’s address. Transport time, import processing and the available destination service need separate confirmation. The shop also says payment locks the order quantity and price and rejects refund requests based on market price movements. A dated invoice is therefore more useful than a promotional screenshot alone.

The shop also states a one-year warranty, with exclusions and installation requirements on the product page. A manufacturer’s general warranty statement does not settle the return transport cost or local service arrangements for every buyer. Keep the exact configuration, warehouse, invoice terms and warranty contact together when comparing the offer with equipment already delivered by another supplier.

The useful news is a verifiable lower-priced batch offer for existing Bitcoin hardware, with its minimum quantity visible. It is not a measured profitability result: coin income, pool fees, runtime, power cost and the complete landed price still determine the outcome. No order was placed for this report. Readers can use the paired configurations in the calculator and farm tool, then replace assumptions with their own site measurements and current purchase terms.
