Immersion changes the cooling environment
Moving an ASIC into a suitable dielectric cooling system changes how heat leaves the hardware. The original air-cooled control assumptions may no longer match the installation. That creates a software and monitoring task as well as a mechanical one.
Compatibility should be evaluated as a complete system: the miner, fluid, seals, tank, heat exchanger, pumps and control settings. A claim that a fluid is non-conductive does not answer every material-compatibility or maintenance question. Use the relevant equipment and fluid documentation for the proposed combination.

Fan behavior is only one part of the configuration
An air-cooled miner may monitor fans as evidence that its cooling system is operating. In an immersion installation, simply changing that monitoring behavior does not prove that heat is being removed correctly. The replacement cooling system needs its own measurements and failure response.
Monitor the conditions that matter to the liquid loop, including the approved temperature and flow requirements. Make the response to a pump or heat-exchanger failure explicit. A machine should not continue operating on the assumption that cooling is healthy merely because an air-fan warning has been suppressed.
Include auxiliary power in efficiency calculations
Suppose a hypothetical group of miners consumes 30 kW and its dedicated liquid-cooling equipment consumes another 2 kW. The installation draws 32 kW before other site loads are included. Comparing only the miners with an air-cooled alternative would omit part of the energy required to operate the system.
Allocate shared cooling consumption consistently when calculating cost per machine or per unit of accepted work. The allocation can be approximate, but it should be stated. A lower chip temperature is useful engineering information; it is not by itself a complete profitability result.
Plan maintenance before the first immersion
Service procedures change when hardware is handled in a liquid environment. Define how devices are removed, cleaned if required, inspected and returned to operation. Maintain appropriate fluid-handling procedures and keep records of the components used in the installation.
A controlled pilot can establish stable settings and reveal practical maintenance needs before the fleet is converted. Record accepted work, total installation power and cooling conditions together. The goal is a maintainable thermal system with a measurable operating benefit, rather than treating immersion as a universal shortcut to higher output.
